Job Title: Golf Maintenance - Seasonal

Salary Range: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour, DOE - *Updated 3/15/2024*

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Golf Course Assistant Superintendent, the employee will perform grounds and facility maintenance at Lakeview Golf Course. This is an 8-month position that follows seasonal weather but may vary based on operational needs. Working hours include weekday, weekends and some holidays.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Priority one is to support a safe and cooperative work environment;

Maintain golf course greens and facilities;

Operates irrigation equipment;

Set up and mow greens;

Collect golf ball from driving range;

Set up course for daily play;

Collects trash on facility grounds as needed; cleans golf carts;

Supplies and cleans restrooms as necessary

Assist with facility maintenance and minor repairs;

May be required to operate a city vehicle towing a trailer with equipment;

Assist with or performs other tasks as assigned or needed.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent and 1-year of experience working in golf course or parks maintenance;

Ability to safely operate lawn mowers and lawn care equipment;

Willingly perform routine manual labor;

Understand and follow oral and written instructions; emptying trash containers weighing up to 50 pounds; work without constant supervision;

Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions;

Cordially provide information and directions to golf course patrons and general public;

Interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner;

Display an attitude of cooperation with all levels of city employees, the general public and other organizations

Communicate effectively for efficient job performance; completes assignments in a time manner;

Understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations;

Maintain prompt and regular attendance;

Perform all essential and marginal tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or course manager with or without reasonable accommodation;


Licensing:

Possession of valid State of Idaho driver’s license and safe driving record.


Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Regularly work outside in adverse weather and exposed to hot, humid, cold conditions;

Regularly exposed to loud noise levels;

Frequent lifting or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts or moves 100 pounds.
